Wonewoc - Julie A. Downing, age 61 years, of Wonewoc, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 14, 1961 in Springfield, Minnesota.
Julie married Michael Edwin Downing Sr. on September 8, 2000 in Viroqua, Wisconsin.
She worked at Grede Foundry in Reedsburg.
Julie enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and spending time with the grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Downing, children, Mike (Lindsey) Downing Jr. and Dusty Downing and grandchildren, Alexis Downing and Michael Downing III, all of Wonewoc; sisters, Jean Koehler of Idaho, Jodi Wendt of Texas and Joyce (Alan) Kerr of Missouri; brother, Jason (Sherri) Wendt of Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley (Walter) Wendt and father-in-law, Bert Downing.
A time of visitation celebrating the life of Julie will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Wonewoc.
