Karen Ann Vindal, age 66 years, passed away peacefully at HER home in rural Wonewoc, Wisconsin on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
Karen was born in Hudson, Wisconsin on November 6, 1956. She became a ward of the State when only a few weeks old. She spent a big portion of her life in the State Institutions, various foster and nursing homes. In 1997, Karen was placed in the care of Ron and Sue Mislevecheck in their adult family home where she spent the remainder of her life.
Karen was non-verbal but had no problem letting most people know what she wanted and needed. She had a smile that melted your heart and was very smart and bossy. She touched the lives of so many people and will forever be in our hearts and memories.
Karen liked Little Debbie Oatmeal cookies, ice cream and rolls of Christmas wrapping paper. She loved wearing necklaces and bracelets. Every Christmas she always expected some new ones.
It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but an entire life to forget them.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 12 noon at the Picha Funeral Home in Wonewoc, with Rick Tyler officiating. Burial will be in the Millards Prairie Cemetery.
