LA FARGE - Richard E. (Dick) Levy of rural La Farge passed away on April 24, 2022 after a short illness.

He was born on June 26, 1949 in Richland Center to Adolph and Marcella Levy of Yuba, Wis.

After graduating from Hillsboro High School he received a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Dick was employed by J.H. Findorff & Son, Inc. in Madison as a superintendent and later worked for Turbine Pro’s as a millwright, travelling to several states to work on Turbine engines in power plants.

He enjoyed salmon fishing on Lake Michigan with his lifelong friend, Dr. Roger Stanek and his wife Ginger. Dick hunted in the area and states out west with many friends, loved country music, singing karaoke and being everyone’s personal weather reporter.

Dick was proud of his Czech heritage and loved spending time in Yuba with friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Darlene Moen, sister & brother-in-law Donna and Ken Mlsna.

Dick loved his family and is lived and missed by his cat “the Pea”, his partner in life, Karen Levy, daughters Lisa Levy of Calabasas, Calif., Lani Jackson (Anthony) of Janesville, Wis., granddaughters Samantha Howard (Colton) of North Port, Fla., Isabella Levy of Calabasas, Calif., Taylor Goodine (Jake Leis) of La Crosse, Wis., Lauren Jackson of Oregon, Wis., great-granddaughters Kinsley and Willow Howard, Brooklyn Thomas and Kalani Jackson, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

At his request there will be no funeral but a Celebration of Life in Yuba, Wis. on June 26th at noon—Luncheon at the Yuba Community Center followed by celebration at Louie’s Bar (formerly Sogs).
