David Jason Elsbernd, age 49, of La Crosse passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
David was born December 21, 1974 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was united in marriage to Heather Bloom on October 10, 2009. Dave made an impression on everyone he met. His smile and the sparkle in his eyes could light up a room. Dave enjoyed music, hunting with his son, Tyler and fishing with his daughter, Eryn. He was very skilled at woodworking and working with his hands. He loved his family and will be missed by so many.
Survivors include his wife, Heather and their children, Tyler age 14 and daughter Eryn age 12, his mother Susan and step-father Ron Mislevecheck of Wonewoc, WI, two brothers, Greg of Cincinnati, OH, Brian (Resa) of Union Center, WI and one sister, Rebecca of La Crosse, WI. One Niece Rachel Elsbernd and one nephew, Alan Gerken, both of La Crosse. His mother-in-law, Paula Bloom of Deerfield Beach, FL along with aunts, uncles and many cousins and friends.
David was preceded in death by his father, James Elsbernd and both maternal and paternal grandparents Russell and Audrey Burch, Al and Virginia Elsbernd.
If love could have saved him, he would still be with us today.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 1425 Jackson Street, La Crosse. Pastor Scott Skogen will officiate.
