La Farge - Franklin Duane Meseberg, age 72, of rural La Farge, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 15, 2022. He was born on June 23, 1950, to Ernie and Hope (Blakely) Meseberg. He attended grade school in West Lima and graduated from La Farge High School in 1968. He was a good athlete in school, excelling in both football and wrestling. Following high school graduation, he attended stock broking school for one year until he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He honorably served his country in Vietnam for two years. Following his military service, he came back and met his future wife, Ramona Fanta. They were married on May 1, 1976. The couple moved to Frank’s family farm and began farming until 1993. He finished his working life with the Unites States Postal Service in Viroqua, retiring in 2014. Frank was very active in the community, serving with the Viola American Legion and the La Farge VFW for over 20 years.
He enjoyed playing cards, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Adrian (Christina) Meseberg, Nathan (significant other Jennifer Wiegenstein) Meseberg; five grandchildren, Payton, Hailey, Mason, Isiah, and Luka; brother, Kenneth (Patsy) Meseberg; sister, Patty (David) Wiedemann; sister-in-law, Donna (David) Walters; brother-in-law, Dennis (Dolores McGuire) Fanta; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ramona; his sister, Susan; an infant sister; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2022, at the La Farge United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
