Margaret Ann Roberts, age 94 years, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Agrace Hospice Care in Madison, Wisconsin.
She was born on July 22, 1928 and raised by her parents, Robert “Bud” and Dorothy (Rose) Quinn in Hillsboro. Margaret Ann graduated from the Hillsboro High School in 1946.
Margaret Ann was united in marriage to Ralph Roberts on September 5, 1949 in Hillsboro, where they made their home.
She was a community volunteer for many activities, some of which included the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Board, Hillsboro Public Library Board, including serving as President; Hillsboro Woman’s Civic Club (and some of their events – White Elephant Sale and Granny’s Attic Sale) and First Congregational Church in Hillsboro where she was Choir Director for many years.
Margaret Ann was also a sports fan and an avid supporter of the Chicago Cubs and Wisconsin Badgers.
Survivors include her children, Abigail (Theodore) Pertzborn, Dorthy (Andreas) Mueller and Robert “Ted” (Angela) Roberts; grandchildren, Della Buehl, Samuel (Kenna) Stein and Catherine Ann Roberts and great grandchildren, Owen, Colin, Kashtyn and Kayson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Dorothy Quinn and husband, Ralph Roberts.
A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will take place with a time of visitation on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro, followed by a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hillsboro Brewing Company. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro.
