Barbara E. Langer, age 72 years, of Elroy, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 23, 1953 in Reedsburg, the daughter of Norman and Dorothy (Johnson) Lawrence. Barbara was united in marriage to James W. Langer on February 28, 1975 in Viroqua.
They lived in Hillsboro for several years, where Barbara worked at the Sewing Factory and La Crosse Footwear among different jobs. Then Barb and Jim made their home in Elroy. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2020.
Barb enjoyed fishing and gun collecting.
Survivors include her children, Tammy (Michael) Voltz of Mauston and Bob (Amanda) Langer of Chetek; grandchildren, Christopher (Samantha) Hans and Cedar Langer; great grandchildren, Vanessa and Violette Hans; siblings, Deb Elmer, Rita Revels and Kevin (Lori) Lawrence and special friend, Gary Severson.
In addition to her husband, James; she was preceded in death by her Parents; grandson, Steven Hans and infant brother, Allen Lawrence.
A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will take place with a gathering on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Summit Ridge – N795 State Road 58, Wonewoc, Wisconsin.
