Raymond J. Mislivecek of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on his 91st birthday, September 21, 2026 at Bethany St. Joseph’s Care Center in La Crosse.
He was born on September 21, 1935 in the Town of Hillsboro, along with his twin brother, Melvin, the sons of William and Anges (Havlik) Mislivecek. Ray graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1953.
Raymond was united in marriage to Corrine Miller on June 11, 1960 in Hillsboro.
They farmed and milk cows for many years at their farm in the Town of Hillsboro. Ray also served on the Town of Hillsboro Board, Hillsboro Farmers Coop Board and drove school bus for Hillsboro Schools for many years.
Ray and Corrine enjoyed traveling and watching sports and supporting their grandchildren. Ray also was an outdoorsman, hunting and fishing, read the newspaper and truly enjoyed company whether playing cards, listening to polka music or speaking Czech with a few locals.
Survivors include his sons, Gary (Sue) Mislivecek and John (Julie) Mislivecek; grandchildren, Vanessa, Macy (Austin), Ashton, Katy, Whitney and Brittney; and sister-in-law, Judy Mislivecek. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine on April 21, 2024; parents, Willam and Agnes; and twin brother, Melvin.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro, with Pastor Thomas Hotek officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
