Edward J. Verbsky, age 86, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Milestone Senior Living in Hillsboro.
He was born on February 17, 1940 in Hillsboro, the son of Edward R. and Leona (Pliner) Verbsky and graduated from the Hillsboro High School in 1958.
Edward was united in marriage to Bessie M. Marshall on June 30, 1962 in Hillsboro. They farmed in the Town of Greenwood for many years until moving into Hillsboro in 2004. She preceded him in death on June 21, 2011.
Ed also kept busy doing construction work and later was the valet and courier for the Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro. He enjoyed camping, watching sports and attending his grandchildren’s many activities.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan (Gary) Mislivecek; son, Allen (Lisa) Verbsky; grandchildren, Vanessa, Macy (Austin), Ashton, Devon and Paige; brother, Donald Verbsky; sister, Donna (John) Wolf and sister-in-law, Gladys Verbsky.
In addition to his wife, Bessie; he was preceded in death by his Parents; brother, Richard Verbsky and sister-in-law, Jeanne Verbsky.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Pastor Thomas Hotek officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home.
