Gordon D. Vierck, age 82 years, of Elroy, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Liberty Village in Tomah, surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 25, 1943 in Janesville, Wisconsin, the son of Orval and Inez (Burhans) Vierck.
Gordy was married to Paula Schotten and lived in the Elroy area for many years. They had four children, Mike, Dawn, Krissy and Mark. They later divorced.
Gordon later married Sandra (Connors) Stowell on January 9, 2004.
He was a semi-truck driver throughout his life and also spent time operating a milk truck. He worked for Skinner Transfer Corporation for 32 years.
Gordy was also an outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, riding motorcycle and in later years Sandy and Gordy were often found riding in their UTV around the countryside.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy; children, Mike (Cindy) Vierck, Dawn Waterman (Todd Buchal), Krissy (Thomas) Miles, Mark Vierck (Andi Robson), Francene (Lee) Abbott, Jacqueline (Doug) Urban, Nicole (Stacy) Morris and Nathan (Vanessa) Stowell; eighteen Grandchildren; twelve Great Grandchildren and siblings, Janice (Keith) Christianson, Dennis Vierck, Jack (Lorabell) Vierck, Jody Blaha and Carole (Rich) Brown.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; three brothers, Richard Vierck, Larry Vierck and Roger Blaha and a sister, Nancy Wolfe.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Elroy, followed by a continued celebration of Gordy’s Life at the Elroy American Legion Hall. A time of visitation will be at the Picha Funeral Home in Elroy on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
