James E. Revels, age 89 years, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025 at his home.
He was born on February 15, 1936 in Vernon County, the son of Percy and Lodemia (Berg) Revels.
James was united in marriage to Verta Hatfield on June 29, 1963 in La Farge.
He began working in 1958 for American Motors, which later became Chrysler, in Kenosha for 31 ½ years. James retired in 1989 and shortly thereafter moved back to the Hillsboro area.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and raising a garden.
Survivors include his wife, Verta of Hillsboro; children, James “Al” (Debbie) Revels of Reedsburg, Susan Revels of Mauston and Jerry Revels of Wonewoc; grandchildren, Jeremiah Rose, Sheldon Baggs, Erin Hawkinson, Arthur Revels, Elizabeth Fisher and Victoria Revels; seven Great Grandchildren and siblings, Vivian Machovec, Arlene Johnson, Leona (Kenneth) Kelbel and Lucy Scott.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; brother, Bernie Revels and sister, Mayva Haugh.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 12 noon at the Burr Wesleyan Church, rural Hillsboro. A time of visitation will be at the Church on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Burial will be in the Forest-Burr Cemetery.
