June Rose Schnoor, age 92 years, of Wonewoc, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Black River Memorial Hospital in Black River Falls, Wisconsin.

She was born on June 4, 1932 in Piper City, Illinois, the daughter of Francis and Pauline (Thackeray) Perkins.

June was united in marriage to Fred W. Schnoor on December 3, 1950 in Piper City. Following their marriage, they lived in Ashmore, Illinois for a short time before moving to Kankakee. They farmed in the Kempton area until moving to Loganville, Wisconsin in 1963. In 1970, they purchased their farm in Woodland Township, Sauk County. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2003.

In addition to her work on the farm, June also worked at Badger Ordinance, various clerk jobs in Wonewoc, including at J & S Grocery. She had different cleaning jobs and enjoyed being the Secretary at the United Methodist Church in Wonewoc, where she was an active member, participated in the Church Guild, served on the Board and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Friends of the Library in Wonewoc and the Woodland Soil Conservation.

June enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her grandkids and great grandkids school and sport events, playing cards, dancing and bowling.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy (Dave) Benish; daughter-in-law, Sue Schnoor; grandchildren, Jamie, Sarah, Tim, Travis, Sabrina and David; 16 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Betty Atkins and Karen Payne.

In addition to her husband, Fred; she was preceded in death by her son, Dale Schnoor; sister, Mae Ella Walker and brothers, Addison, Karl, Paul and Robert Perkins.

Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Community Church in Wonewoc, with Richard Tyler officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Eden Cemetery in Wonewoc. A time of visitation will be held at the Picha Funeral Home in Wonewoc on Friday, December 13th from 4 to 7 p.m.
