Kenneth S. Kelbel, age 89 years, of rural Richland Center, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at his home.
He was born on July 2, 1935 in Richland County, the son of Fred and Lois (Hunter) Kelbel.
Kenneth served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, as Air Police, from 1955 - 57.
Kenneth was united in marriage to Leona Revels on February 26, 1960 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where they lived for many years. Kenneth worked at the American Motors Corporation, which later became Chrysler.
Following retirement, they moved back to the area and made their home in Richland County. He was an outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and guns. Ken also enjoyed the many occasions he could spend time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Kelbel; children, Lorna Wincek, Lisa Kelbel (Avon Hooker) and Ken (Wendy) Kelbel; grandchildren, Michael (Ana) Kelbel, Kyel (Kristen) Kelbel, Sheenah Fitzpatrick and Ryan (Allie) Ott; and great grandchildren, Lane Kelbel and Dilynn Kelbel.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; siblings, Freda Giese, Dorothy Rybski, Marian Sayles and Clarence Kelbel and son-in-law, Scott Wincek.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 12 noon at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Rev. Alan Tripp officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Vernon Cemetery, near West Lima. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
